So now I'm going to try and sum up my last week in a few words. Let's start with my day off from work. I got the idea in my head that I was going to be super manly and grill. Which all in all that didn't turn out too bad, although I ended up having to finish cooking my pork chops in the house because my grill went cold. Still not sure how that happened...anyway so as I was preparing to bring things in, I got bit by the vampires of the south, a mosquito, not once but twice. Which I know is not really a major thing except I hadn't been bit by one in a very long time and the first spot it bit me left a huge welt about 2 inches in diameter that was extremely red, hot, and itchy. The second time I actually saw the little fucker and killed it with the gusto of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and if you laughed at that watch out I may have to stake you too. But it still managed to get a bite in which has left me with a nasty bruise that still hasn't gone away. Needless to say I didn't go to work the next day because I was traumatized.
Fast forward to Saturday and after leaving work, I went to a football game at my college alma mater with my man, his mom, sis, niece, and nephew. We had a great time and we actually won the game. It really made me miss the days I went to away games with friends just enjoying being young, man I miss those days. The rest of the weekend was pretty blah, especially the True Blood finale...I swear I'm not obsessed with vampires...Fast forward to Tuesday because let's face it no one likes Mondays and if they are telling you they do they are lying like a Chinese rug...So yeah I'm at work doing my job answering all the dumb ass questions people call in about in regards to their phone or bills which could be answered by themselves if they just took the time to read. I guess I should be glad they call because that gives me job security. Anway so I'm doing my best to listen to the person I'm on the phone with and one of my coworkers who I will refer to as Leech comes over and just stands there for about a minute which annoyed me then he just starts saying "hey i need to ask you something" I give him the one moment finger because I'm trying to actually work which is something he clearly has an issue with. So i go back to listening intently to the person and Leech stands there for at least another 5 minutes. And the lady that sits next to me asks Leech why he's standing there and he replied "I was trying to ask him a question." To which she replies "He's not going to answer a question while he's on a call" Something anyone with just a small amount of common sense would be able to figure out on their own. And then he mumbles something and walks off with an attitude. That of course really pissed me off and had I not actually been working he would have gotten to meet the me that other people are scared of for good reason. So I already did not want to be at work and that put me in an even worse mood and then to end the day I had to have one of those difficult calls where you really can't help the person.
This guy calls in because he has a huge bill from his ex who he says is crazy and ran off with some man with his kids and he doesn't want to pay. I can empathize with him but still he had the bill adjusted already so there was nothing more on that I could do. So then he starts talking about cancelling and I was so ready to get him over to the people that take care of that but he says no he doesn't and wants to know about the contracts. Which all of the lines except his had recently upgraded and that meant they had huge termination fees. His response was I never signed any agreements and he wanted to know who did. I informed him that his crazy ex that he just authorized to make those kind of changes last year had done the upgrades. He was pissed and thought she shouldn't be able to sign a contract with his name, which on some level I agree with, but at the same time you authorized her to make the changes. But in order to keep my job I told him I would speak with a supervisor. So I told the supervisor and his response to me was to tell this pissed off man that "that's a civil dispute between them". I gave him a look of like really and he just gave a dumb smile and I left and told the customer. That of course pissed him off even more and he wanted to cancel everything again. Now this has already taken me past my off time so I gladly gave him to the retentions team. After the stress of all that I drove to work and then decided I wasn't feeling that and came right back home. LOL I told you I'm bipolar.
